Hosted by Eastbourne College and the Chamber of Commerce at the Birley Centre, 125 residents and Chamber members quizzed the candidates at our Hustings, prior to the election. The exit poll showed Josh Babarinde as the clear winner followed by the Labour candidate, Paul Richards with roughly half the number of votes.

The candidates were challenged by the audience and the moderator Paul Bromley, who retired from Sky News as political correspondent last year. Paul had researched the questions carefully and challenged each candidate to substantiate their responses with the facts and figures he had researched in advance.
