We are thrilled to be the largest town Chamber of Commerce in the South East of the UK having been established in 1892 and we have a goal to supply local businesses with the assistance they need to grow and progress. We offer a number of different business solutions, including general support, networking and coaching. Additionally, we run numerous events every year to provide our members with opportunities to escalate their business.
What is a Business Grant?
A business grant is an amount of money provided to a business to help them evolve and develop. Typically business grants are provided by governments, foundations, trusts or corporations. In contrast to standard loans which have to be gradually paid back, grants don't have to be and the owner of the business doesn't have to provide any equity to receive the grant.
Often small business grants will be aimed at particular sectors of business, areas of the country or groups of people. This means that certain grants may be more challenging to access and may have more limitations, for example only being available for women or for new start-ups.
