Join the Pier to Pier Run to raise money for Wayfinder Woman

Wayfinder Woman's major fundraiser, thePier2Peer returns for a fourth year.

Wayfinder needs to raise £10,000 a year to keep their drop-in centre open, to provide a safe space for women.

The charity is principally volunteer-run and relies on grants and fundraising events like this one to keep it open. In addition, Wayfinder Woman must raise £8,000 a year to provide free workshops and peer support to women.

This is your opportunity to help! Whatever your ability you can take part.

The route runs between Eastbourne and Hastings Piers with three distance options –

25 k (15.5 miles) Eastbourne to Hastings

5k (2.5 miles) from Eastbourne Pier to Sovereign Harbour

10k (5 miles) from Eastbourne Pier to Sovereign Harbour and back

Starting underneath Eastbourne Pier, the route follows the coast with some beach sections (it will be low tide) until Cooden Beach when it is back on the road re-joining the prom to Bexhill and on to Hastings Pier.

Individuals, groups and teams of all ages are welcome, and everyone receives an environmentally friendly medal when they finish their chosen distance.

Individuals, couples, families, company teams, and social groups are all welcome to join in the fun, improve their well-being, have a chat, support an award-winning local charity and lift their spirits!  The event is open to everyone regardless of their fitness level.  Everyone gets a specially designed, environmentally friendly medal!

You can move at your own pace, enjoying the company, or set yourself a time or distance challenge. Why not encourage others and join as a team to do the whole route.

The challenge is open to walkers, who will set off before the runners and follow the same route, and cyclists who will leave after the runners and follow the road using the Sustrains dedicated cycle route.

If people are able to raise additional sponsorship then £10 would provide refreshments for coffee for one of our groups, £25 would pay for a place on a workshop to help build confidence and £100 would pay for an hour's coaching from a professional.

Even if you can't join us on the day, then you can still support those who can by sponsoring them through theirJust Giving Page.
