Public consultation on Phase 2b of the Eastbourne Town Centre Movement and Access Package
We are working with East Sussex County Council and Eastbourne Borough Council to enhance and promote the vitality of the town centre. The ongoing project aims to provide more space for people through the completion of a pedestrian spine route through the town centre, reducing the impact of traffic in the area, creating new public spaces and enhancing the public realm at key locations.
By doing so, this will support housing, retail and business growth within the town centre while reducing traffic and improving air quality.
Phase 2b of the Eastbourne Town Centre Movement and Access Package comprises of three schemes:
- Pedestrianisation and enhancement of Terminus Road
- Pedestrian improvements at Memorial roundabout
- Relocation of part of the town centre Ring Road
The public consultation has launched and will run until 11.59pm Sunday 20 November 2022. There are multiple ways to participate in the public consultation, including attending the in-person information events, where you can ask the project team any questions you may have.
