At the Chamber AGM on May 23rd, Joe Hill, CEO of the award winning Towner Gallery presented the plans for Black Robin Farm on the Seven Sisters promontory. There are 900,000 people visit Seven Sisters every year but they are not aware of its elegant next door neighbour, Eastbourne, where lovely hotels, restaurants and shops await them.
To encourage visitors to visit Seven Sisters and Eastbourne, Black Robin Farm is being redeveloped as a world class cultural centre to attract visitors to the start of an art trail which will lead them into the town.
The presentation attached below shows the economic impact the Turner Prize has had on the town and also the plans for Black Robin Farm, the Downland sculpture park, education and cultural centre. Once it is completed, the centre will be know as "Towner Seven Sisters" and it will amalgamate art, environment, science and education.
